Stainless Pots
Stainless pots are often moderately priced and are very
durable. It’s a good choice for the average cook. Steel is usually
bonded to another metal because it is not that great at conducting at
heat.
The price of stainless pots will depend on what metal they are combined
with. Copper is a good conductor of heat so stainless is often seen
with a copper bottom. Aluminum can be cheaper but is also less effective.
Straight stainless steel pots are not recommended but they ineffective
and can warp over time. Some stainless steel has a non-stick coating
which is excellent for cleaning and hassle-free cooking. Non-stick coating
requires special care, so be sure to follow manufacturer’s directions
for cleaning.
