Kitchen Pots

Taking care of the pots and pans in one’s kitchen is essential. Cookware is an investment and should be treated as such. Many will skimp on cookware only to be disappointed by broken and rusting pieces.

It is recommended to avoid using the dishwasher for most pots in the kitchen. Dishwashers use chemicals that can break down the coatings on the pans and the racks can cause scratching. Hand washing, as time consuming as it is, pays off in the long run.

Most pans shouldn’t be scoured. Using abrasive cleaners on the pots in the kitchen or using an abrasive pad will scratch non-stick surfaces and comprises the integrity of the piece. Look for plastic scrubbers or soft sponges; avoid “metal wool” scrubbers as they cause the most damage.
